Registration & Placement
At Young People’s Ballet Theatre, we believe that one-on-one communication is critical for a successful experience, therefore registration cannot be completed online.
The registration process begins with a discussion between the parent and the School Director. A recommendation for initial placement will be made based on the student’s goals and current level of experience. Final placement will be determined by the appropriate faculty after the student has completed at least one class.
The YPBT curriculum is carefully designed to ensure continuous progress. The number and types of classes are structured to complement each other at each stage in the dancer’s development. Students are promoted to the next level based on a number of factors, including age, technical ability, and physical readiness.
