The YPBT performing company, under the direction of Denise Paavola, provides opportunities for dancers to work with talented professional artists and perform a varied repertory including classical story ballets. Dancers range in age from eight to eighteen and enter the company through an audition in the fall. Many former company members have gone on to professional careers in dance or have studied dance at the college level.
YPBT presents a full season of performances including a holiday presentation in December, a full length ballet in March, and a mixed repertory program in June. Our dancers also perform throughout the year at various fundraising and outreach events.
Our dancers are from all over the state of Michigan! Our current company has dancers from Bay County, Genesee County, Lapeer County, Livingston County, Saginaw County, Sanilac County, Shiawassee County, and St. Clair County.
